Akhigbe Cletus, Chief Host and NISCN National President
Mr Cletus Akhigbe is the national president of the National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria (NISCN)—Nigeria’s oldest safety body. He is a passionate HSE and quality professional and a public speaker, who has mentored hundreds of QHSE professionals.
He began his career as a safety professional at World Oil Tools Nigeria Limited, as the pioneer QHSE manager, before moving to Oil Quest International Limited to manage the QHSE department. Today he is the Principal Consultant and CEO at Clevepronet Limited and a director at Mac Offshore Solutions Limited.
He has expanded his experience in QHSE management system, project safety management, IOC and regulatory compliance auditing, and QHSE program development, in different sectors: oil and gas, marine, manufacturing, etc.
A graduate of mechanical engineering, Mr Akhigbe fell in love with the occupational safety and health discipline after graduation, and has never looked back. An IRCA-certified lead auditor, he’s a consultant to many companies.
Engr. Desmond Chukwuemeka George, Chairman
Engr. Desmond Chukwuemeka George (B.Eng.) has a degree in Material & Metallurgical Engineering. He is the MD/CEO of Deslog Energy Services Limited, Director of Training at Deslog Training and Consulting Limited, and the technical head of Spyhub Technologies Limited. He is the Rivers state Representative of World Safety Organization (WSO) and immediate past Vice Chairman of the National Industrial Safety council (NISCN) Rivers State chapter.
His qualifications also include ISO 9001:2015 & 45001:2018 Lead Auditor. He is an innovative QHSSE professional with over 10 years of experience and professional development.
Amb. Igwe Nzekwe Kelechi, Secretary
Amb. Igwe Nzekwe Kelechi, holds a Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. He is a pioneer student and obtained a Professional Diploma in Safety/Security Management from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori. Currently working as QHSE field Advisor/Oil Spill Responder in one of the biggest OML in Nigeria, he’s also the MD/CEO Hink Integrated & Logistics Company Limited.
He has distinguished himself as a dedicated and professional QHSE practitioner. He is a member of National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria (NISCN), Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), World Safety Organization (WSO), Nigeria Institution of Safety Engineers (NISE), and Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS).
Josephine Ogolo, Assistant Secretary
Josephine is a very passionate and experienced HSE professional, having worked for over six years in the Oil & Gas Industry. She holds a degree in Computer Science and various QHSE certifications among which are ISO 9001:2015 (Lead Auditor Course), NEBOSH IGC and ISPON HSE Level 1 & 3. She is a vibrant member of NISCN and ISPON.
Stanley Ologun, Member and Chairman NISCN Rivers State Branch
Mr Stanley Ologun has 18 years of QHSE experience and is the current QHSE Manager, Catering and Facilities Solutions Ltd. He was the Former QHSE Area Manager at Sodexo Nigeria Limited, QHSE Area Manager at Eurest Support Services Limited, and HSE Manager at Adano Engineering Limited.
He holds an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Lead Auditor. He is also an associate member with ISPON.
Jeffery Guobadia, Member and Chairman NISCN Akwa Ibom Branch
Jeffery Guobadia obtained his Diploma in Computer Engineering and B.Eng in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin, an an M.Sc. in Construction Management from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Jeffery has gotten a handful of experiences in Safety especially in the oil and gas sector. He also has certifications in safety, management, law and ICT. He is the director at De Aftermath Consults.
Obehi Kingsley Akhibi, Member and Chairman NISCN Edo Branch
Obehi Kingsley Akhibi is a passionate safety professional and advocate, who has acquired multiple training and certifications home and abroad. He earned his PGD in HSE&S from the Federal University of Petroleum, Effurun, in Delta State. He has worked in both civil and oil and gas projects. He is a safety consultant to some companies and has contributed freely to spreading the safety gospel throughout the entire country.
He is an Exco of the Edo State branch of ISPON and the current Edo State chairman of NISCN. He is also a member of National Executive Council (NEC) on Safety in Nigeria. He has featured on television and radio programs focused on safety.
