Akpobari Jeremiah B., Member

Akpobari Jeremiah B. is the QHSE coordinator at Basic Nigeria Tech Limited. He was the former HSE lead at BBK Resources Limited and HSE Adviser at Nendamark Nigeria Limited. He has over 12 years of HSE instructing experience, and over seven years on-the-field experience. He is currently the Assistant Secretary at NISCN Rivers State branch.

He is a Member of IOSH, ISPON, AOHT UK, and JOIFF NRCS. Jeremiah is working toward an ISO 9001:2015 lead Auditor certification, and has earned NEBOSH and Train the Trainer certifications. He’s an SPDC-authorised gas tester and permit holder.

Collins Owhonda, Member

Collins Owhonda has BSc Hons in Business Administration. He is an Experienced HSE professional and has worked for RivGreen Nig Limited, an environmental company for many years as a store keeper. He is a part of Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals (NISP). His qualifications include General HSE 1&2, HSE Competence Development Level 3, Efficient Deck Hand (EDH), STCW at Charkin Maritime and Offshore safety training. He also completed navigational watchkeeping at NIMASA as an able seaman.

He is also presently working with Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, at the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), as Principal Inspector of Factories (PIF).

Samuel Bassey, Member

Samuel Bassey is a Political Science graduate from the University of Calabar. He also holds a diploma in Human Resources and a diploma in Workplace Safety and Health from Alison Online University, Ireland.

Samuel is currently working with the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company in Promise City South Integrated Business Center, Eket, Akwa Ibom State, as a Safety Officer.

His certifications include HSE Level 1-3 with ISPON, Basic First Aid Training, and Working Safely with IOSH. He is a member of ISPON and NISCN and is currently the Akwa Ibom State Vice Chairman 1 of NISCN.

Chinomnso Okwulehie, Member

Chinomnso Okwulehie has a BSc in Environmental Resource Management from Abia State University, Uturu. Has obtained trainings and certifications in various areas, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), HSE 1, 2 & 3, Direct Capacity-Building for Non-State Actors EU-INSIDE.

She has had the privilege of being part of awareness campaigns against HIV and AIDS with the organization Stop Aids. She’s presently working with Ministry of Labour and Employment, Department of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), as an inspector of factories.

West Owunari B., Member

West Owunari B. has a BSc in Human Anatomy, and a post-graduate diploma in Environmental Technology. He was a former emergency medical technician with RS EMS and part-time lecturer with RS College of Health Technology . He’s passionate safety professional who has undergone several training, such as NEBOSH, IGC, ISO 14001:2015, 9001:2015, 45001:2018, HUET and CA EBS.

West is a member of several organizations, including ISPON , NISCN, Nigerian Red Cross Society (Trainer), and St Johns Ambulance. He is both an Approved NEBOSH and OPITO instructor at Novelle and Tolmann, for more than 10 years with over 10 years. He is a 2010 winnner of the National Best First Aider Award, and is currently a Food Safety Champion with La Galaxie Consult Limited.

Elizabeth Kofoworola Ayo, Member

Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Exeter, Queens University, and the Nigerian Law School. She began working for the National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria in 2018. She works in Operations and Management and is a Legal Officer with the Council.
